The ACT Math section tests 60 questions in 60 minutes from pre-algebra through trigonometry. Most students lose 3–5 points not from missing content, but from poor time management and unfamiliar question formats. We teach the specific strategies that move composite scores.
60 seconds per question average. We train students to identify which questions to solve first and which to skip and return to.
Calculators are allowed on all 60 questions, but misuse costs time. We teach when to use it and when mental math is faster.
The ACT heavily tests linear and quadratic functions. We drill pattern recognition so these take under 30 seconds instead of 2 minutes. Students who need to rebuild these fundamentals from the ground up often benefit from ongoing math tutoring alongside test prep.
Slope, midpoint, and distance problems appear on every ACT. We teach shortcut methods that bypass full algebraic setup.
Trig is about 7% of the Math section. We cover the highest-tested concepts, SOHCAHTOA, unit circle basics, identities, so no points are left on the table.
